Jamie Schwartz, MSW, LCSW-R, ACT joined the CBT Center in 2021 bringing a wealth of Cognitive Behavior Therapy expertise. She is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of clinical experience. She is trained in a variety of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She also is certified by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
Jamie specializes and has extensive experience treating individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, insomnia, and ADHD. She works with patients as young as grade school age to high school and college through to adults.
She also enjoys supporting parents to help their kids navigate this challenging time of life. She is an expert in parent training and utilizes behavior modification plans that focus on positive and negative reinforcement to increase desirable child behavior and improve parent-child interactions.
Jamie’s approach is both supportive and collaborative, offering her patients individualized and practical interventions to gain perspective and allowing practice and development of skills. She works flexibly with morning and evening appointments via our secure telehealth platform and ? in our Long Island (Riverhead) Satellite Office ?. She is licensed in both NJ and NY.
